Our Special Space(s) - Astronomy Basics
Join us for a collaboration between the Ontario Nature’s Youth Counsil, AU, and ASX, for the intersection between sustainability and astronomy! Youth Council members Chloe Chow and Riley Grossutti will be combining the topics of conservation and astronomy in this panel. Topics include discussions about how wildlife use stars for navigation, the challenges they face, as well as solutions or best practices to reduce these risks. Find out how astronomy has been incorporated throughout nature for millennia before recent technologies! The talk will take place from 7-7:30, and the panelists will hold a Q&A from 7:30-8pm. ⭐️ 🌻
Astro After Dark
🌌 ASTRO AFTER DARK, our first Tri-Campus astronomy event is here! Astronomy clubs from all three campuses are teaming up for a night of astrophotography and observational astronomy under the stars! 📅 Tuesday, March 24, 8–10 PM 📍 King’s College Circle, UTSG Come watch live astrophotography demos, learn how to shoot the night sky, look through telescopes, and hang out with fellow stargazers from across all three campuses. No experience or equipment needed! Have experience in astrophotography or observational astronomy and want to share your skills?
